Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account.

VayuRide is a marketplace that helps drivers and riders share journeys and split costs. We are not a transport carrier, taxi service, or transportation provider. We do not own vehicles, employ drivers, or operate rides.

A ride is an agreement between the driver and the rider. VayuRide is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any driver or rider. Carpooling on VayuRide is a cost-sharing arrangement and is not intended as a for-profit commercial transport activity.

If you offer rides, you confirm and agree that you will:

• hold a valid driving licence and complete our verification before publishing rides;
• drive a vehicle that is legal, roadworthy, and covered by the insurance required in your jurisdiction;
• set a per-seat price that reflects a fair share of the trip cost and not a profit-making fare;
• honour rides you publish and bookings you approve, and communicate promptly if plans change;
• drive lawfully and safely and comply with all applicable road, licensing, and tax rules.

You are solely responsible for your vehicle, your driving, and meeting your legal and tax obligations. VayuRide does not verify insurance, licences, or vehicle condition beyond the documents you submit, and does not guarantee any driver or vehicle.

• Provide accurate booking details and be ready at the agreed pickup.
• Treat drivers and other riders and their property with respect.
• Do not bring anything unlawful, and follow the driver's reasonable requests during the trip.

When you request a seat, the seat is held while the driver reviews your request. A booking is confirmed only when the driver approves it (or instantly, where a ride is marked instant-book). If a driver declines, or does not respond in time, the held seat is released and any hold on your reservation fee is released.

The seat fare is paid to the driver as a contribution to the cost of the trip. Where online payments are enabled, VayuRide charges a small reservation fee to confirm your seat; this fee is VayuRide's and is shown to you before you book. Payments are processed by our payment provider, and your use of payments is also subject to that provider's terms.

• Your reservation fee is authorised when you request a seat and charged when the driver confirms.
• If the request is declined, expires, or you cancel before it is confirmed, the reservation fee hold is released or refunded.
• If a confirmed ride is cancelled by the driver, or by VayuRide, any reservation fee you paid is refunded.
• Arrangements for the seat fare itself, and any dispute about the ride, are between the driver and the rider.

Riders and drivers can cancel a booking before the trip. Cancelling a booking returns the held seats to the ride. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may lead to limits on your account. Where money has been collected, refunds follow the payments section above.

You agree not to:

• use VayuRide for anything unlawful, unsafe, or fraudulent;
• operate a commercial taxi or paid transport service through the platform;
• harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger anyone;
• misuse another person's account, or provide false identity or vehicle information;
• interfere with, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service or its security.

You are responsible for the messages and content you send through VayuRide. Do not send unlawful, abusive, or misleading content. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these terms.

VayuRide is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that a suitable ride will be available, that rides will take place, or that any driver, rider, vehicle, or trip will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VayuRide is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a ride, from the conduct of a driver or rider, or from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount of fees you paid to VayuRide in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to cover VayuRide against claims, losses, and costs arising from your rides, your content, your breach of these terms, or your breach of any law.

You may stop using VayuRide at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, poses a risk to others, or is used unlawfully. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use VayuRide after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where VayuRide is established, and disputes are subject to the courts of that place, unless local consumer-protection law gives you other rights.
